Did you know there is a special HOME Down Payment Assistance Program if you live in the town of Babylon, Brookhaven, and many other towns across Long Island?
- The Suffolk County Community Development Department has grants available for first-time homebuyers purchasing a home in the Towns of Brookhaven, East Hampton, Huntington, Riverhead, Shelter Island, Smithtown, Southampton and Southold. Grants can be used for down payment and closing costs.
- The Nassau County Down Payment Assistance Program will provide eligible first time homebuyers with up to $25,000 towards down payment/closing costs towards the purchase of an eligible new or existing single-family home, provided that the applicant puts a minimum down payment of at least $5,000.
- The Town of Babylon HOME Down Payment Assistance Program will provide eligible first time homebuyers with up to $20,000 towards down payment/closing costs towards the purchase of an eligible new or existing single-family home, provided that the applicant is income eligible and meets all program requirements.
- The Town of Brookhaven HOME Down Payment Assistance Program will provide eligible first time homebuyers with up to $20,000 towards down payment/closing costs towards the purchase of an eligible new or existing single-family home, provided that the applicant is income eligible and meets all program requirements.
- Applications must be submitted by January 2, 2019. We will help you every step of the way.
